Abstract

En mobilisant le cadre du job crafting, cet article étudie la manière dont les individus œuvrant dans un contexte de sale boulot construisent leur rapport au travail pour produire du sens et transformer l'histoire de ce qu'ils font et de ce qu'ils sont. La recherche, réalisée au sein d'une entreprise de nettoyage industrielle, combine des entretiens semi-directifs et des phases d'observation participantes rendues possibles par l'immersion d'un des auteurs en tant qu'agent nettoyeur. Les résultats mettent en lumière des processus de job crafting particulièrement actifs par lesquels les nettoyeurs s'efforcent de restaurer le sens au travail et de s'extraire des stigmates auxquels ils sont exposés.
