Abstract

Cette étude présente un cas réel, celui de Société Générale, banque française créée en 1864 et devenue un grand groupe bancaire international. L'idée de ce cas est de montrer pourquoi cette entreprise entend aujourd'hui tirer profit de son histoire et des nombreux documents et objets qu'elle a su collecter au fil des années. Il est aussi question de voir comment, concrètement, elle s'organise pour le faire. Ce cas a également été conçu pour faire comprendre aux étudiants que les archives des entreprises affichant une telle longévité - et l'Histoire des organisations en général - permettent d'aborder les pratiques managériales contemporaines sous un nouvel angle.
