Abstract

À une semaine d'intervalle, on a (encore) beaucoup parlé de mathématiques en France. C'est d'abord la communication des résultats de la fameuse enquête PISA, qui a soulevé des inquiétudes quant au niveau des élèves français dans cette matière. Puis, l'élection de Miss France a mis la filière universitaire en lumière, la lauréate du concours se trouvant être cette année une étudiante en mathématiques appliquées. Une Miss France étudiante en mathématiques pourrait-elle être un modèle pour les jeunes filles et les inviter à investir un domaine d'études qu'elles désertent actuellement massivement ?
