Abstract

Avant de s'imposer comme un champ d'investigation de l'analyse économique à part entière au début des années 1990, le conflit est longtemps resté un simple paramètre dans les modèles économiques. Il convient d'emblée de préciser qu'il existe de nombreuses définitions d'un conflit. Par souci de clarté, nous utilisons celle proposée par Kimbrough et al. ([2017] p. 4) : un conflit est « une situation dans laquelle des agents choisissent des inputs i) qui sont coûteux en eux-mêmes, mais aussi d'un point de vue d'optimalité sociale, ii) dans la recherche d'intérêts privés décrits en termes de victoires et de défaites ».
