Rester dans la course : développer l’employabilité durable grâce au job crafting

Abstract

En se fondant sur une étude de cas et en mobilisant le concept de job crafting , cet article entend contribuer à la littérature sur l'employabilité durable. Nous montrons que les individus peuvent stratégiquement ajuster les tâches qu'ils réalisent ( task crafting ), modifier leurs interactions sociales ( relational crafting ) et attribuer un sens à ce qu'ils font ( cognitive crafting ) pour à la fois réguler l'intensité de leur travail à court terme et développer les compétences et réseaux nécessaires à la réalisation d'une trajectoire professionnelle valorisante à long terme. La discussion des résultats permet de relativiser l'opposition classiquement établie entre employabilité interne et externe, notamment lorsque les trajectoires professionnelles invitent les salariés à se mouvoir de projet en projet. Elle permet également de revenir sur les risques liés à une responsabilisation excessive des individus à l'égard de la conduite de leur propre carrière.
