Abstract

This presentation is about a research project which is also an educational project created by a team of researchers and educational engineers from the Catholic University of Lille and the Université Gustave Eiffel. This communication aims to present feedbacks on this creative edutainment device called the XP#CharlieDilemme. It tackles a sensitive topic: regulation, deontology and ethics in the fields of management, work relations and PR in general, and lobbying and advocacy more specifically. This serious game deals with methods and techniques difficult to address in textbooks and during regular classes: rare illegal or morally unacceptable practices as well as common ambiguous grey-zone practices. The game also question ethics more broadly : the meaning of work in PR in the Anthropocene era, how can one look at oneself in the mirror by the end of the day? Be proud of one's job ? Lucile Desmoulins teaches to students longing to become successful and, successfull yet (?) ethical professionals. This generation demands hardcore professionalism and better work ethics, on ecology, inclusion. How can we answer that demand ? This specific presentation aimed to present the XP to fellow German colleagues in PR, marketing, business ethics and philosophue as a first stpe towards future collaborations : game design and research projects but also students and Erasmus+ exchanges.
