Abstract

Dans un marché fortement régulé par des conventions, l'accroissement de la distance entre acteurs, induite par le développement des technologies de l'information, favorise-t-elle l'émergence d'une nouvelle convention de qualité ? Le développement des échanges par Internet accroît en effet la transparence sur les prix, mais aussi l'incertitude liée à la qualité du produit échangé, en raison de l'impossibilité de réaliser désormais un examen de visu. L'analyse des échanges sur un marché philatélique numérique montre que la convention de qualité s'adapte, en s'appuyant notamment sur des indicateurs de confiance relatifs au vendeur pour favoriser l'acte d'achat.
