Abstract

Insertion companies (EI) and special employment centers (CEE) represent key instruments in the socio-labor integration of different vulnerable groups at risk of exclusion. Although the study carried out recognizes their undeniable work as transitional structures towards the market, the scarce availability of data represents a lukewarm approximation of the state of the situation. In any case, it can be concluded that, although EWCs are established in all the provinces of the region, the presence of IEs is far from optimal. The profile of the EWCs in Castilla-La Mancha for 2019 shows differences in relation to the sector in the rest of the country: social initiative centers employ the most disabled personnel both in absolute terms and by nature of disability, female hiring is higher and the sector has half the number of non-disabled personnel. In the case of the EIs, their evolution in terms of entities and people in insertion is quite irregular, although their turnover has a clear positive trend.
