Abstract

The phenomenon of the undertaking firms ruled by women in Butembo is still badly known and the available data hardly help in the precise description and generalization of the results on the number as well as the profile of the creators or the undertaking firms, even their typology. This study, carried out on a sample of 80 undertakers, states a general context of feminine undertaking in Butembo, a typology of those understaking firms as well as the obstacles those women confront. The study also presents different feminine associations of the civil society as being one of the ways of promoting feminine undertaking.
