Abstract

Cet article a pour ambition de restituer le discours ordolibéral autour d'une notion qui lui est centrale, celle de « pouvoir ». Si l'ordolibéralisme se construit en opposition à la doctrine marxiste et historiciste, il en hérite également certaines thématiques : par exemple, dans sa lecture historique du libéralisme, laquelle signale la recherche irrépressible de rentes par les agents privés comme moteur du changement institutionnel. L'ordolibéralisme réinvestit néanmoins la question du pouvoir en tachant d'y apporter une réponse libérale, par le biais d'outils finalement proches d'une tradition « néoclassique-walrassienne ». Ce faisant, la pensée ordolibérale met en avant la défense de l'ordre concurrentiel comme mécanisme de dé-potentialisation du pouvoir économique.
