Abstract

La RFID ( Radio Frequency IDentification en anglais, c'est-à-dire identification par radiofréquence) s'est développée de façon spectaculaire au cours de ces dernières années. Toutefois, malgré les nombreux avantages qu'offre cette technologie (visibilité en temps réel des stocks, réduction des coûts logistiques, augmentation de la productivité, meilleure traçabilité, réduction des ruptures dans les magasins, etc.), son déploiement dans le secteur de la grande distribution alimentaire française demeure limité. L'objectif de ce papier exploratoire est d'identifier l'ensemble des freins entravant le recours à cette technologie d'information dans les relations logistiques entre fabricants et grands distributeurs alimentaires. Pour ce faire, nous adoptons une méthodologie qualitative fondée sur des entretiens semi-directifs. Les résultats montrent que la non-adoption de la RFID s'explique essentiellement par le coût de cette technologie pour les acteurs.
