Abstract

L'analyse de la mobilité sociale est un outil essentiel dans l'évaluation de la bonne santé sociale et économique d'un territoire. Le cumul et la persistance d'indicateurs socioéconomiques dégradés, ainsi que l'existence d'importantes inégalités sociales et économiques peuvent potentiellement s'expliquer par un phénomène de reproduction intergénérationnelle important. Cette note étudie la mobilité sociale intergénérationnelle dans la région Hauts-de-France en termes de niveau et d'évolution et met en évidence les évolutions suivantes : (1) Un différentiel région-France important en termes de position sociale, mais qui tend à se réduire ces dernières années ; (2) Une mobilité intergénérationnelle en termes de position sociale descendante dans la région ; (3) Un différentiel persistant entre la région et la France en termes de niveau d'éducation (part des peu ou pas diplômés plus forte et part des diplômés du supérieur plus faible) couplé à une mobilité sociale intergénérationnelle éducative plus faible.
