Abstract

With great pleasure, I introduce this timely and insightful book, "Handbook of Research on Blockchain Technology and Digitalization of the Supply Chain." This book is a comprehensive collection of 22 chapters, written by experts in their respective fields, that delve into the vast possibilities of blockchain technology and digitalization and its impact on the supply chain. As we move further into the digital age, the supply chain is experiencing a rapid transformation, thanksto advancementsin technology. Digitalization and the introduction of blockchain technology have brought a new level ofsecurity, efficiency, and transparency to the supply chain. The authors of this book have explored these possibilities and their potential to revolutionize the supply chain in the 21st century. The book is divided into eight sections that cover a wide range of topics related to blockchain technology and the supply chain. The first two sections provide a broad overview of the evolution of the supply chain and how technology is strengthening supply chain management. The next sections delve into the various aspects of blockchain technology, such as adoption and diffusion, governance structure, and security in the supply chain.
