Abstract

Especially in the last three decades, games have inspired the development of activities and utility devices that are more or less playful. In the first place, there are the pedagogical activities that have benefited from these contributions, but various other uses have also emerged. We will discuss here in a general way, all these forms to deal with the particular case of games with a sharing purpose, i.e. games whose main objective is to motivate and allow people to exchange points of view, opinions, arguments, data, etc. We review them according to the utilitarian forms derived from the game or play to which we can be linked: serious games, serious gaming, serious play and gamified devices.
