Abstract

Les réformes successives du secteur sanitaire et social incitent les établissements à réduire leurs coûts, augmenter leur efficience économique et apporter une amélioration continue de la qualité de la prise en charge des usagers. Les nouvelles pratiques managériales, par le changement qu'elles induisent, peuvent impacter le bien-être au travail des salariés. Cette recherche entend alors examiner la perception de la performance sociale en Etablissement d'hébergement pour personnes âgées dépendantes (EHPAD). Les résultats de l'enquête qualitative menée dans un EHPAD à but lucratif révèlent les difficultés liées à la notion de performance sociale : absence de communication entre salariés et encadrants, manque de reconnaissance, clivage et manque de solidarité entre équipes, stress, conditions de travail difficiles, intensification du travail, conflits de valeurs. L'amélioration de la performance sociale des EHPAD nécessiterait alors l'amélioration des relations d'emploi et de management et la création d'espaces de de discussions ordinaires
