Abstract

La durabilité économique des entreprises situées dans les stations de montagne fait l'objet de peu de recherche en comparaison avec les travaux relevant de la durabilité des destinations touristiques. Or le cadre théorique de la durabilité dans les entreprises n'est pas totalement stabilisé. En limitant le propos à la durabilité économique, cette étude se propose de valider quelques hypothèses de recherche pour mieux cerner les caractéristiques des entreprise que l'on peut qualifier de durable. Il en ressort que les entreprises de grande taille, avec un investissement relatif important et des possibilités de financement interne et d'endettement arrivent à s'immuniser contre le risque climatique et offrent des caractéristiques économiques de durabilité. Ces observations confirment d'une part les travaux sur la viabilité des stations de grande taille et d'autre part la nature spécifique des stations de plus petite taille. Celles-ci répondent à des logiques autres que celle habituellement retenues dans les jugements sur la performance financière.
