Abstract

Le poids et le rôle économique grandissant de la finance constituent le point de départ de la caractérisation du phénomène de financiarisation par la littérature économique. Cette qualification critique met en évidence l'importance prise par la finance à travers ses marchés, ses instruments (notamment les produits dérivés), ses acteurs, ses institutions et ses visées, soulignant la captation et l'accumulation des profits au détriment de l'« économie réelle » par le déploiement de logiques essentiellement spéculatives. Le capitalisme financier, faisant système, subordonne ainsi l'ensemble des différents pans de la société en imposant ses référents normatifs et ses rapports de force, captant l'essentiel de la valeur et instituant des mécanismes de rentes financières.
