Abstract

À présent reconnus politiquement et médiatiquement, beaucoup de proches aidants de personnes en perte d'autonomie n'ont pas recours aux droits, services, aides et/ou prestations auxquels ils pourraient prétendre. Cet article propose de s'interroger sur l'effectivité de l'offre destinée aux proches aidants et sur les formes que prend ce non-recours. La difficulté à appréhender les besoins propres des proches aidants ainsi que le caractère hétérogène de l'offre qui leur est destinée au niveau des territoires contribuent à expliquer la rencontre en partie manquée entre l'offre et la demande. Il est également utile de s'intéresser aux logiques de recours différenciées des proches aidants ainsi qu'aux représentations qu'ont les professionnels du social et de la santé des offres et de ce que peut être leur propre rôle vis-à-vis des proches aidants.
