Abstract

To everyone's surprise, the government announced on November 16, 2022 that it wanted to proceed with a new modification of the legislative part of the Competition Code. The code has already undergone significant changes in recent months, so why consider new ones? Above all, how can we explain the haste with which events have been chained together and should it trigger concern? Since the new president of the Polynesian Competition Authority (PCA), Ms. Johanne Peyre, took office on July 15, 2021, the legislative part of the Competition Code has already been amended twice. 1. A soothing presentation by the Council of Ministers 2. Which short circuits? 3. From the rush to the (momentary?) withdrawal of the text 4. Worrying content and the need for vigilance
