Abstract

Premier loisir des Français, la télévision nous accapare, nous captive, nous distrait, nous passionne. Elle définit son époque. Et avec son époque, elle évolue, se multiplie, innove, s'enrichit et se transforme pour relever le défi de la modernité numérique. Qu'est-ce qui caractérise la télévision, son intimité, ses ressorts, ses règles de fonctionnement, ses acteurs et leur stratégie ? Comment l'équation économique s'avère-t-elle déterminante dans la programmation ? Dans quelle mesure le système de régulation est-il à la fois protecteur pour le tissu productif et les téléspectateurs, et contraignant pour les chaînes ? Comment la télévision gère-t-elle la transition numérique ? Comment s'invente-t-elle un futur avec Internet ? Autant de questions auxquelles cet ouvrage s'efforce d'apporter des éléments de réponse.
