Abstract

Digital technologies such as platforms, crowdsourcing or neural machine translation disrupt the economics of translation. Benchmarking the pricing policies of nine global language services firms uncovers a shift towards online business models that contributes to reshaping the traditional volume-based content-oriented model of translation towards a range of linguistic services focused on user experience.Digital technologies such as translation platforms, crowdsourcing and neural machine translation disrupt the economics of translation.
