Abstract

This hearing by the Senate's Economic Affairs Committee was part of the production of a report entitled "The Competitiveness of the French Farm" (https://www.senat.fr/rap/r21-905/r21-9051.pdf). At the request of the senators who drafted this report (Laurent Duplomb, Pierre Louault and Serge Mérillou), the purpose of this intervention was to propose an analysis of France's foreign trade in the agri-food sector, with a particular focus on five products: cow's milk, chicken, wheat, tomatoes and apples.
