Abstract

Ce livre retrace l'histoire, de sa genèse à sa commercialisation, d'une voiture électrique peu coûteuse, deux caractéristiques qui semblaient jusqu'ici incompatibles. Mais au-delà d'une aventure singulière, l'analyse de ce projet permet de comprendre, mieux que des discours abstraits et généraux, des problématiques clés de la stratégie et du management contemporains. Cet ouvrage montre ainsi comment l'odyssée de Spring révèle : - une leçon de stratégie qui montre la complexité d'une trajectoire de croissance à l'international et des conditions permettant sa mise en oeuvre dans un monde fragmenté ; - une leçon de management de projet pour réussir le défi, a priori impossible, d'une conception au sein d'une alliance réunissant cinq entreprises et quatre pays différents ; - une leçon d'innovation inversée qui montre comment l'électrification de la mobilité peut se conjuguer avec des prix abordables ; - une leçon de politique industrielle qui illustre, sur le cas emblématique de la voiture électrique, le rôle majeur des pouvoirs publics dans des trajectoires technologiques de plus en plus administrées, et donc leur importance dans la compétition entre les industries d'Europe et de Chine ; - une leçon d'intrapreneuriat qui prouve que la start-up n'est pas le seul contexte où il est possible de tenter et de vivre des ruptures.
