Abstract

Compte rendu de livre. Le dernier livre du politiste Luc Rouban porte sur les raisons de la défiance des Français vis-à-vis des institutions politiques. Il pose la question de savoir pourquoi les Français restent-ils les champions de la défiance politique ? (p.7) Être défiant, nous dit l'auteur, c'est partager l'idée que le système politique n'a rien à offrir de bon, car il ne connaît pas la réalité quotidienne ni celle des structures sociales (p.49). Cette défiance touche tous les niveaux de gouvernance à l'exception peut-être des maires (p.18). Le livre mesure cette défiance sur la base d'enquêtes (Baromètre de la confiance du CEVIPOF) menées depuis 2009 et se propose de l'expliquer.
