Abstract

The evolution of the world economy, globalization and the globalization of markets have led to increased competitive tensions between companies and nations. Indeed, this competition forces companies to continuously improve their competitiveness on the international market. on the international market. Competitiveness is a widely discussed and ubiquitous term in economic research. many economic phenomena are evaluated today by the criterion of competitiveness, that is to say competitive or non-competitive. Although the term "competitiveness" is often used there are still ambiguities around its conceptualization and problems in understanding its meaning. concept is still confused with many other concepts that are generally misattributed to the same content. wrongly attributed to the same content. The literature review shows that competitiveness is a complex concept that is constantly evolving according to conditions and changes in the market, but also according to the level of analysis conducted (macro, micro or (that the concept of competitiveness is not static and remains subject to both national and international national and international determinants, and that there are several models and schemes for identifying its sources and identify its sources and factors. In this sense, the main objective of this article is to propose an exhaustive review of the economic literature dealing with the concept of competitiveness at the of competitiveness at the enterprise level. It is a question of exposing and analyzing all the approaches and theoretical models related to competitiveness as well as the different criteria and sources of competitiveness of companies.
