Abstract

Ce travail s'intéresse aux façons d'innover des organisations inscrites dans un contexte culturel et historique marqué. Le terrain étudié est celui de l'écosystème monastique français, fortement ancré dans les territoires et imprégné de don et gratuité depuis le Moyen-âge. La collecte de données en immersion longue auprès des monastères révèle un écosystème composé d'acteurs hétérogènes animés par une logique dominante de service, renforcée par la prégnance du don. Dans ce contexte particulier, les résultats montrent la forte résonance entre les éléments contextuels et la façon dont, aujourd'hui, l'écosystème monastique innove. Ils s'inscrivent dans les recherches qui prônent une approche des phénomènes au prisme de leurs contextes, et incitent les managers à bâtir l'avenir et les innovations en intégrant le contexte historique et culturel de leur organisation.
