Abstract

Si l'écart de production (output gap) a continué à se réduire en 2017, il reste néanmoins négatif (-1,9 point de PIB selon notre évaluation). Avec une croissance attendue de 2 % en 2018 et 2,1 % 2019, l'économie française se rapprocherait de sa production potentielle (dont le taux de croissance est de 1,2 %) d'ici à la fin de l'année 2019. Le choix du gouvernement de conduire une politique de consolidation budgétaire modérée sur la première moitié du quinquennat ne remettrait pas en cause la reprise en marche, d'autant plus que l'activité bénéficie des mesures économiques passées (CICE, Pacte de responsabilité). En revanche, le profil trimestriel de la croissance du PIB de 2018 sera marqué par le calendrier des mesures fiscales qui va affecter le pouvoir d'achat (négativement en début d'année et positivement en fin d'année) et donc la trajectoire de la consommation des ménages.
