Prestations et minima sociaux : la question des indexations

Abstract

Depuis 1984, les prestations et les minima sociaux ne sont généralement revalorisés que du montant de l'inflation. L'écart se creuse donc progressivement entre le pouvoir d'achat de leurs bénéficiaires et le pouvoir d'achat de l'ensemble de la population : les plus pauvres deviennent relativement plus pauvres. Dans cet article, Henri Sterdyniak, professeur associé à l'université Paris Dauphine et économiste à l'OFCE, revient sur la situation des prestations familiales, du minimum vieillesse et du RMI et plaide pour leur indexation sur le revenu médian.
