Abstract

Le livre de Pierre Cahuc et André Zylberberg[1] est une injonction à tenir compte des vérités scientifiques de l'économie dans le débat public, face aux interventions cachant des intérêts privés ou idéologiques. Le livre contient des développements intéressants, décrivant les résultats de travaux empiriques utilisant des expériences naturelles pour évaluer des politiques économiques dans le domaine éducatif, de la politique fiscale, de la réduction du temps de travail, etc. Cependant, le livre est caricatural et probablement contre-productif tant les affirmations sont à la frontière du raisonnable. Au-delà du débat sur les 35 heures ou sur le CICE, c'est le statut du savoir économique dans le débat public qui est en jeu.
