Abstract

Les littoraux constituent une localisation privilégiée de la population mondiale. Près de 10% de l'humanité vit en effet dans une zone côtière de faible altitude. Ces espaces d'interface sont particulièrement fragiles et également essentiels d'un point de vue économique et environnemental. La diversité des littoraux en fait aussi toute leur richesse : des régions naturelles inoccupées aux espaces ultra-urbanisés, en passant par les différents territoires économiques (ports, agriculture, aquaculture). Les écosystèmes naturels littoraux sont eux-mêmes très variés : barrières de corail, mangroves, plages et dunes, marais salants, estuaires et lagons, etc. Ces systèmes représentent des défis en termes de management en raison des dynamiques côtières-de complexes interactions océaniques, terrestres et atmosphériques dans les écosystèmes littoraux-et sont à risques.
