La filière équine française à l'horizon 2030

Abstract

La filière équine française en croissance régulière depuis une trentaine d'années se trouve actuellement fragilisée par la concurrence internationale, l'évolution de la réglementation et la diminution des soutiens de l'État. Face à ce constat, l'Institut national de la recherche agronomique et l'Institut français du cheval et de l'équitation ont échafaudé des scénarios d'avenir. L'ouvrage retrace les grandes évolutions de la filière et de son environnement, et s'interroge sur les futurs possibles au travers de scénarios rédigés sous forme d'histoires contrastées. Ce parcours stimule la réflexion face à des situations espérées, redoutées ou encore peu envisagées ; il apporte du recul par rapport à l'actualité en se projetant sur le long terme. Les différents segments de la filière y sont analysés en fonction des évolutions sociétales, des politiques publiques, des stratégies d'acteurs, et rassemblés autour d'enjeux communs : la relation entre l'homme et le cheval, la santé et la gestion de fin de vie des animaux, le foncier, l'environnement, la formation des hommes et des animaux, l'orientation vers une carrière en fonction du potentiel de performance et plus généralement l'efficacité économique. Au-delà de l'identification des connaissances et des innovations à développer, cette prospective est un outil de réflexion pour les décideurs et entrepreneurs qui construisent les filières de demain, ainsi que pour les acteurs de la recherche et des politiques publiques.
