Abstract

Ce numéro de la Revue de l'OFCE consacré aux prévisions économiques pour les années 2017 et 2018 est composé de plusieurs articles qui peuvent être lus indépendamment. Le premier article, intitulé « La routine de l'incertitude » présente le scénario de prévision pour l'économie mondiale et la zone euro. Comme le rappellent les économistes du département Analyse et prévision de l'OFCE, malgré diverses menaces sur l'économie mondiale depuis deux ans, la croissance a résisté en 2016, n'affichant qu'un faible ralentissement (2,9 %), après des rythmes supérieurs à 3 % entre 2012 et 2015. L'incertitude politique et géopolitique, dans le sillage de l'élection américaine ou le risque d'éclatement de l'Union européenne ou de l'Union monétaire après le Brexit restent présents. Mais ces éléments font maintenant partie du contexte et obligent les agents économiques à s'y adapter à défaut de s'en préserver. Au final, le ralentissement modéré de la croissance mondiale est plus un « trou d'air » qu'un retournement du cycle international.
