Abstract

Parental migration can influence schooling outcomes of their children left behind via two contrasting channels: the reduced parental input and supervision in children's education, and the resources that are generated (and shared via remittances) by migration. We analyze the relationship between parental migration and education for the Cambodian children left behind in rural areas.
