Abstract

La réassurance est un facteur de production primordial de l'assurance non vie. L'efficacité et la capacité du marché de la réassurance déterminent directement celles des marchés d'assurances. Puisqu'ils assument la partie la plus risquée et la plus difficilement diversifiable des sinistres, les réassureurs ont un recours à la modélisation actuarielle et à la théorie du risque beaucoup plus intensif que celui des assureurs directs. Cet ouvrage vise à offrir une introduction concise à la théorie du risque, ainsi qu'à ses principales modalités d'application à la réassurance. Il est fondé sur les notes du cours "Théorie du Risque et Réassurance", enseigné par les deux auteurs en troisième année à l'Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE). Il s'adresse principalement aux étudiants de niveau maîtrise des filières d'actuariat, ainsi qu'aux praticiens désirant rafraîchir leurs connaissances en théorie du risque ou s'initier rapidement aux principaux mécanismes de la réassurance.
