Abstract

Ce numéro de la Revue de l'OFCE consacré aux prévisions économiques pour les années 2019 à 2021 est composé de plusieurs articles qui peuvent être lus indépendamment. Le premier article, intitulé « Coup de frein sur la croissance » présente le scénario de prévision pour l'économie mondiale et la zone euro. Depuis la Grande Récession de 2009, l'économie mondiale a d'abord connu une phase de rebond – en 2010 et 2011 – puis a cru à un rythme annuel moyen de 3,3 % entre 2012 et 2017. L'accélération observée en 2017 avec une progression du PIB mondial de 3,5 % avait notamment été soutenue par la reprise plus tardive de la zone euro. Le ralentissement de l'activité observé au premier semestre 2018 et qui s'est amplifié en fin d'année augure d'un scénario moins favorable. Les tensions commerciales, les difficiles négociations du Brexit, la baisse de la croissance chinoise et l'application de nouvelles normes dans le secteur automobile ont pesé sur la croissance mondiale, qui est revenue à 3,3 % en 2018, et annihilé l'espoir d'un rythme de croissance plus soutenu qui aurait permis de résorber les déséquilibres – chômage et / ou dette publique – hérités de la crise.
