Abstract

Si certains inspecteurs des Finances se sont intéressés à la question sociale à la fin du XIXe siècle, au siècle suivant, ils semblent avoir été nettement moins impliqués dans les lieux du dialogue social. Certes, des différences peuvent être faites suivant les périodes, les types d'institutions et les trajectoires individuelles, mais, globalement, leurs engagements semblent limités en ces domaines, surtout si on les compare à des membres d'autres grands corps, comme par exemple les membres du Conseil d'État. La participation des inspecteurs des Finances au Conseil économique à l'échelle nationale, dans ses formes institutionnelles successives depuis 1925, en est une bonne illustration.
