Abstract

Les sites naturels de compensation sont un nouvel outil pour la mise en oeuvre de la dernière étape de la séquence Éviter, Réduire, Compenser (ERC). Introduits par la loi « Biodiversité » de 2016, ils visent à améliorer la mise en oeuvre et l'effectivité de la compensation écologique par les acteurs de la séquence. Fondés sur une expérimentation en cours depuis 10 ans, ils permettent l'anticipation et la mutualisation des mesures de compensation. Ils constituent ainsi un nouvel enjeu pour les territoires en matière de planification. Leur appropriation et leur déploiement par les acteurs sont primordiaux pour atteindre l'ambition visée : l'absence de perte nette de biodiversité. LES SITES NATURELS DE COMPENSATION (SNC)
