Abstract

Si la croissance économique apparaît épuisée du point de vue du sens et pas seulement de la substance, s'il importe aujourd'hui de la remplacer par les nouveaux horizons du bien-être, de la résilience et de la soutenabilité, il faut aussi construire un nouveau récit commun pour remplacer le sens perdu et engager la communauté des citoyens, et ce récit ne peut pas se borner au respect de la contrainte écologique. Elargir la brèche ouverte dans le mirage de la croissance par la crise des inégalités, ouvrir l'horizon de la coopération sociale sur le bien-être humain, projeter ce bien-être dans la dynamique de la résilience et de la soutenabilité – en somme repenser la prospérité – ne suffira pas. Dépasser la croissance comme projet social implique non seulement de reconsidérer nos objectifs collectifs mais aussi de lier bien-être et soutenabilité dans un nouveau récit commun positif visant à construire des institutions robustes pour donner corps à la transition social-écologique.
