Abstract

Mise sur le devant de la scène lors de la campagne présidentielle de 2017, l'idée de revenu universel est de plus en plus discutée dans l'espace public. Son principe est de verser à tous les membres d'une communauté une somme d'un montant égal, sans contrôle, sans contrepartie et sur une base individuelle. Certains y voient un pilier de l'État-providence du XXIe siècle, tandis que d'autres pensent que c'est un projet utopique et coûteux. Ce livre a pour objectif d'éclairer les débats sur le revenu universel en croisant économie, philosophie et sociologie politique, et de permettre enfin de distinguer réalités, fantasmes et utopies quant à sa mise en œuvre.
