Abstract

Las organizaciones internacionales se enfrentan a distintos desafíos durante todo el proceso de implementación global de su Sistema de Información Empresarial (EIS) y afrontan diversas contradicciones de significados y rutinas surgidas de lógicas institucionales que pueden entrar en conflicto con la esencia de su EIS. Nuestro estudio indica que la pluralidad institucional produce un comportamiento diferente de un departamento a otro y que, frente a las restricciones impuestas por el EIS, los equipos locales utilizan prácticas de acoplamiento flexible. Este estudio contribuye a complementar la investigación previa realizada por (Berente y Yoo 2012) y presenta evidencia de manifestaciones de acoplamiento flexible poco tratada en la literatura, en un contexto de análisis también menos explotado como es el análisis post implementación de un sistema ERP en organizaciones multinacionales.
