Abstract

A l'instar de nombreux pays, le monde rural costaricain fait face à de nombreux défis liés à la mondialisation. Pour faire face à ces défis, les organisations de producteurs jouent un rôle important pour assurer la fourniture de services aux petits et moyens producteurs nécessaires à leurs activités productives et leur insertion aux marchés. Cet ouvrage présente une série d'études originales réalisées par des chercheurs et étudiants costariciens et français mobilisant des approches d'économie agricole et de sociologie. Il analyse le rôle des organisations de producteurs dans l'accès des producteurs à différentes filières nationales et internationales, des expériences d'organisations dans leur mise en place de systèmes de services au profit des petits producteurs, et les expériences et programmes d'appuis aux organisations de producteurs. Il conclue en proposant des pistes de travail de recherche pour les zones rurales afin d'affronter les nouveaux enjeux ainsi que quelques recommandations pour les politiques rurales costariciennes.
