Abstract

Wage labor is not an exchange relationship: the influence of Schmitt's theory on that of Jean Cartelier Abstract. This article attempts to highlight Schmitt's influence on Cartelier's theory of the wage relationship. The two authors question the standard conception of wage labor, which consists in analyzing the latter as a simple exchange report. They argue that the remuneration of the labor factor is not an act of purchase. To understand this, we must go back on the one hand to their criticism of the links between money and value theory in the standard approach, and on the other hand to their adherence to Keynes' idea that the relationship between entrepreneurs and employees is basically asymmetrical.
