Abstract

Comment percevoir la consommation ? S'agit-il d'un moyen d'expression de soi, un marqueur qui assigne ou les deux ? À l'heure actuelle, certains travaux représentent le monde marchand comme un espace d'émancipation. Grâce à lui, les consommateurs pourraient se bricoler des identités à partir des ressources symboliques disponibles sur le marché. Ce n'est toutefois pas la seule représentation: a contrario, d'autres dynamiques de recherche considèrent la consommation comme un marqueur qui assigne à une position sociale ou à une identité de genre par exemple.
