Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss some of the interpretations from Bernard Stiegler's latest book, Qu'appelle-t-on panser ? 2. La leçon de Gretha Thunberg, published in January 2020. We do not intend to summarize chapter four entitled " L'âge du Capitalocène comme accélération de l'exosommatisation ". Rather, we will try to see how the Capitalocene problem is approached with the help of numerous quotations from the book. Our text is based on a montage of excerpts from the book to which we have added intertitles and a few comments, in order to facilitate the development of a thought that is exposed over sixty-one pages. In this way, we will be able to retrace our steps to understand the difference between the Stieglerian position and that of Jason W. Moore with regard to the Anthropocene versus Capitalocene distinction. This text therefore sheds additional light on the concept of Capitalocene, which forms the focus of the report in this issue 9 of Etudes digitales.
