Abstract

A cause de la loi de Engel, le progres technique, en agriculture, ne cree pas a lui-meme son propre debouche. Il est donc impossible d'ameliorer la fonction de production agricole sans bouleversement de la structure interne de l'economie, ou des echanges exterieurs, ou des deux. Les modeles calculables d'equilibre general constituent un instrument d'etude des problemes associes. Malheureusement, les resultats de ces modeles sont excessivement sensibles a la valeur de parametres mal connus, comme, par exemple, l'elasticite de la demande exterieure par rapport au prix interieur de chaque produit susceptible d'echange international
