Abstract

Afin de contribuer à dissiper une certaine ambiguïté dans l'appréhension des réseaux en sciences sociales, deux notions différentes sont proposées : la première, réseau 1, proche de la notion de coopération, s'oppose à la seconde, réseau 2, qui considère le réseau dans son ensemble. Le réseau 1 conduit à focaliser l'analyse sur les problèmes de coordination dans un cadre bilatéral alors que le réseau 2 renvoie à une analyse plus structurelle dans laquelle les logiques d'action sont contingentes aux positions des entités dans les réseaux. La notion de ressource spécifique, centrale en économie du changement technologique, dans la théorie des coûts de transaction ainsi que celle de la dépendance en ressources, apparaît comme un concept pivot car elle permet d'articuler ces deux notions.
