Abstract

Cet article analyse l'impact de l'évolution des formes dominantes d'organisation sur la géographie industrielle du système productif agro-alimentaire français. La première partie met en évidence, par le biais de la théorie des systèmes complexes de H.A. Simon, les formes et les déterminants des changements organisationnels portés par les groupes industriels et leur influence sur leur rapport au territoire. La seconde partie s'appuie sur une analyse statistique de l'évolution 1980-1993 de l'ensemble des firmes de l'agro-alimentaire, pour identifier et mesurer différentes facettes de l'impact des changements organisationnels sur la structure des tissus industriels régionaux. L'article donne notamment un cadre explicatif à la "PMIsation" des structures industrielles régionales, à la multiplication des groupes régionaux et à la décentralisation juridique des firmes.
