Abstract

L'objet social de la Macif, mutuelle d'assurance crée en 1960, doit évoluer pour mieux répondre aux besoins nouveaux de la société civile. Acteur revendiqué de l'Économie Sociale et Solidaire (ESS), la Macif a mis en exergue une politique de Développement Durable (DD) via une stratégie de Responsabilité Sociétale de l'Entreprise (RSE). Cet article cherche à illustrer l'hybridation en cours entre des organisations à objet social (dont le fondement historique repose sur des réponses à la société civile) et des pratiques de RSE (traditionnellement dévolues à l'atténuation d'externalités négatives des entreprises capitalistiques). La RSE devient ici un outil d'appropriation et de valorisation de pratiques inhérentes à l'objet social d'une mutuelle, source d'hybridation sociétale à l'origine d'effets combinés qui permettraient à l'entreprise d'innover dans un contexte de ressources limitées.
