Abstract

Figures de l'emploi touristique présente la condition du salarié dans les grandes organisations touristiques de deux secteurs clés, l'hôtellerie et le transport aérien de passagers, selon leur évolution en réponse à l'avènement de la société de loisirs. Confrontée à des aléas stratégiques et financiers, la gestion des ressources humaines doit composer avec des professionnels dont la relation à l'emploi oscille entre choix et contrainte, au gré de leur position hiérarchique ou sociale. Cet ouvrage explore les mondes complexes de ces deux secteurs, du front office au back office, du réceptionniste à l'hôtesse, jusqu'au general manager et au commandant de bord. Les compétences humaines de ceux-ci sont mises en exergue afin de répondre aux nouvelles façons d'aborder les relations professionnelles, moins hiérarchisées.
