Abstract

En Europe, les systèmes de retraite sont très divers, mais ont des logiques communes. Partout, les pensions versées reposent à la fois sur une base solidaire et sur une base contributive. De plus, elles sont financées en partie, voire intégralement, par répartition. De ce point de vue, tous les pays européens doivent relever le défi imposé par le vieillissement de leur population. Beaucoup a déjà été fait en termes de réformes, mais d'autres réformes seront certainement nécessaires. À l'heure où la France s'apprête à fusionner ses régimes de retraite [Gannon et al., 2018], ces différentes expériences européennes sont riches en enseignements pour mener à bien la réforme.
